Airport
The Halifax Stanfield International Airport is approximately a 30-minute drive (35 km). We recommend that you allow at least 120 minutes for check-in, immigration, and customs formalities.
ATM Machine
The closest ATM machine is located across the street in the Bank of Montreal.

Car Rentals
Our Concierge team (press Concierge button) will be pleased to assist you with your booking.
Check-out
Check-out time is 12pm. If you need any assistance, please contact our Guest Services team (Guest Service button or dial 0) who will be pleased to assist you. Additional charges may apply for guests who are departing late, and after 5pm a full night charge may be incurred. Based on availability.
For an express checkout, simply drop your key card at the Express Checkout box at the front desk.
Credit Privileges
We honour the following credit cards: Visa, American Express and Mastercard.
Currency Exchange
The Guest Services team can exchange small amounts of US funds into Canadian dollars. For larger transactions, please visit a local bank.
Do Not Disturb Policy
Please note that for safety purposes we must check each guestroom at least once every 72 hours. If your “Do Not Disturb” sign is up for more than 72 hours, our Manager on Duty will contact you to ensure your well-being. Should you be scheduled to check-out, we will respect your privacy until the posted check–out time.
Dry Cleaning
Dry cleaning services are provided by a reputable, independent company. Available Monday to Friday – except holidays. Bring the items to the Guest Services team before 9am for 24-hour return. We act only as an agent and accept no responsibility for lost or damaged goods.
Electric Current
The hotel’s electric current is 110 volts. If you have European electrical items, converters are available by request from Guest Services.

Environmental Programs
Bedsheets in the guest rooms are changed every third day of your stay. If reusing your towels, please hang them up. Should you require fresh ones, please place them by the shower and we will provide a fresh supply.
Fitness Centre
Our Fitness Centre is located on the seventh floor. Towels and water fountains with bottle fill stations are available. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. No food or beverages allowed.
Hours: 5:30am – 10:00pm daily.
Guests with Special Needs
In case of emergency, your safety is our first concern. Please inform the Guest Services team upon check-in if there is a guest with a disability in the room.
Heating & Air Conditioning
You can use your individual thermostat in your guest room for your comfort. Heating and cooling options are provided year-round. You can also connect to our Personify System (please refer to Personify Section for more details) to manually control from your personal smart devices.
Housekeeping
To help reduce our impact on the environment and to provide you with more choice, we have two options for your housekeeping service.
- Light room refresh which includes: making bed, supplying fresh towels, emptying garbage, replenishing toiletries, coffee/tea and light bathroom cleaning if required
- Replenishment of supplies which includes: fresh towels, additional toiletries, and coffee/tea
Please look for the door hanger in your room with these two options and place it on your door handle before 10am to receive your service. If there’s no hanger on your door, your room will not be serviced. If you have any questions or require a full-service room cleaning, please notify the Front Desk team (dial 0).

Ice machines are located on floors 8-19.
In-Room Casting
Ready to cast?
This room is equipped with a casting solution. Using your mobile device, it is possible to cast content from a Google Cast compatible application to the TV using the instructions below.
- Connect to the main building Wi-Fi and access the internet. You must have logged in using room number and last name or using a unique user code provided upon your arrival.
- Turn on the TV.
- On your mobile device, open a google cast compatible application such as Netflix. Certain applications may require a subscription to access their content.
- Choose your content, look for the casting icon in your application and select it.
- On your mobile device, select the Chromecast identified with your room number, the casting should begin momentarily. If not, manually switch inputs via the TV remote control until you see your content.
Loss/Damage
The hotel is not responsible for loss or damage to any possessions or properties belonging to any person while staying as a guest or patron. If you find that you have misplaced or lost any items during your stay with us, please contact our Housekeeping team (dial 536).
Mail & Messages
The message light will flash on your telephone if there is a message for you. Please leave outgoing mail with the Guest Services team. Incoming mail will be held by the Guest Services team for pick up.
Medical
If you require medical assistance, please contact our Guest Services team (Guest Services button or dial 0) who will be pleased to assist you.
Non-smoking
All guest rooms are 100% non-smoking. The hotel’s lounge and restaurant are 100% non-smoking.
A cleaning fee will apply if a room has been smoked in.
Parking
There are three parking options available:
- Valet Parking – $38 per night
Unlimited in/out privileges - Nova Centre Self-Parking
$2.50 first 30 minutes, $2.00 for every additional 30 minutes. $28 maximum for 6am-6pm and $28 maximum from 6pm-6am
No in/out privileges
Guest takes a ticket to get into the lot, then pays at the pay station to depart - Scotia Square Self-Parking – $25 per day
Unlimited in/out privileges
Guests can check in and get a pass from the Guest Services. Then proceed to the Scotia Square lot on Albemarle St. This pass will be used for the entire stay and can be scanned in/out throughout the stay.
Pets
We allocate a small number of rooms on specific floors for guests travelling with pets.
Personify
To control your in-room lighting and temperatures direct from your phone, please download the Personify App, available for both Apple and Android users.
From the in-room personify controller home screen, select the menu option. Click my personify. If you need to download the app, apple and android QR codes are available. Once downloaded, open the personify app and select you room number. From the in-room controller, select show code. Enter this code in the personify app to connect and control your room settings direct from your phone.
Pillows
For additional pillow requests, contact the Guest Services team (Guest Service button or dial 0).
Playpens
Playpens are available as a complimentary special request item through our Guest Services team (Guest Service button or dial 0). The number of playpens available is limited and will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Chop Steakhouse & Bar is the perfect choice for friends, family, or business. A great selection of steak, seafood, salads, wine, and cocktails will have you smiling. Room service is available daily from 7:00am.
